Shipping Rate Announcement:
As of January 1st 2010 we were forced to slightly raise our flat rate shipping rate a total of .90 cents. Our new flat rate has gone from $8.95 to $9.85. After multiple supply increases we have incurred across the board with all vendors we are being forced at this time to slightly increase the cost of shipping. We have not raised our shipping rates in over 4 years, despite the multiple yearly increases from FedEx and USPS.
Rest assured this tiny cost increase is offset with free samples included in every package as well as our monthly incentives such as free clamshells and free candle specials which essentially make shipping free!

Spotted Hog Candles are known for just that… Candles. That is why our flat rate shipping rate is one of the best deals around. Consider the weight, size and packaging of jar candles. The cost of a medium Priority mail flat rate box is $10.35 and the large is $13.95, insurance is NOT included in those prices, every the year the rates go up and due to the odd sizes of the flat rate boxes only a few candles fit.

One 18oz candle with packing materials and boxed weighs 2.5 pounds and costs $11.95 to ship via USPS to the west coast uninsured (insurance is an additional $1.75 per package on top of that $11.95). We ship your entire order for a low flat rate of $9.85 no matter how large your order is and no matter where you are located in the continental US. We also include free full sized samples with every order and offer free clamshell tart and free candle incentives, which essentially makes shipping free if you factor that in to your order total. Yes, just about every package costs us more out of pocket then what we charge you, but we feel it is just another way to provide you with excellent customer service. Saving money on shipping is always a good thing.
